Andrea and Garrett’s Venue3Two Wedding in Grand Rapids, Michigan took place on a warm summer day with all of their family and loved ones in attendance. The aesthetics of the wedding were very classy and pulled together with elegant details, while the atmosphere remained very carefree, intentional, and upbeat. As a Grand Rapids based Wedding Planner, I have worked at Venue3Two many, many times and love the versatility of the space and am obsessed with how Andrea and Garrett chose to use it!
Getting Ready in the Venue3Two Wedding Suites
While Andrea and Garrett opted for a traditional first look at the altar instead of pre ceremony, that did not stop them from both utilizing the beautiful onsite bride and groom suite exclusive to Venue3Two Weddings. I loved being able to tangibly feel the excitement and anticipation build from both of these two as the morning became afternoon and the wedding ceremony crept closer and closer. There is something so special and almost childlike about being surrounded with your closest friends and family counting down the minutes until the start of your new chapter. In the Venue3Two Bridal Suite, Andrea’s Maid of Honors helped her polish up her bridal look before settling in with a game of “Heads Up”, while Garrett and his groomsmen indulged in a glass of whiskey and prepped the cigars for later.
Outdoor Venue3Two Wedding Ceremony
Andrea and Garrett choose the stunning outdoor space at Venue3Two to host their wedding ceremony. While there are a couple different options for altar location and ceremony set up, through all of our venue walk throughs and details meetings, Garrett was adamant on having his bride have her dramatic entrance through the double doors for the ultimate first look and let me tell you, it was nothing short of spectacular. As a planner, I see so many first looks both before the ceremony and at the altar and admittedly get chocked up more than I’d like to admit, but this one especially had me tearing up. You could feel the anticipation building as each member processed, until finally the bridal chorus begun and the double doors swung open for the beautiful bride. Andreas father met her just as the start of the aisle to escort her down and hand her off to her forever person.
Venue3Two Wedding Onsite Portraits
Andrea and Garrett are officially one which means it’s time to move into bride and groom portraits as well as entire wedding party photos! Venue3Two offers many breathtaking indoor and outdoor portrait locations giving your wedding gallery plenty of variety while still remaining consistent. Their talented photographer, Cynthia Silaghi Photography, did such an incredible job providing all the posed photos Andrea and Garrett wanted in their gallery as well as many candid style photos with plenty of movement. These are always my personal favorite in the gallery as it allows you to recall how the day felt!
Venue3Two Reception Details
Andrea and Garrett’s vision came together seamlessly in the Venue3Two’s open and airy reception space. The color palette leaned on crisp whites and bold blacks in order to emphasize a classy feel and allow for the elegant details to shine through. Andrea was very trusting of my expertise when it came to guest table variety and centerpieces, so my team spent the morning perfecting each arrangement and carefully placing accessory table items in a way that would be showcased best. One of my favorite details was the audio guestbook where their loved ones could leave an audible message for them to listen over for years to come!
Venue3Two Wedding Reception
Andrea and Garrett’s reception at Venue3Two was nothing short of a party! It’s not secret that the couple being on the dance floor definitely encourages guests to join themselves, and fortunately Andrea didn’t need this reminder in the slightest. QC Event Sound kept the dance floor alive with his expert mixing and emcee skills and another big hit was the Hollywood style photo booth curtesy of Smitten Booth. We strategically placed this just off the dance floor and en route to the bar in order to get the most use!
