Hello, fiancée! If you are reading this, you are likely newly engaged and in search of the perfect Chicago wedding venue to set the scene for your big day. Chicago is a city overflowing with architectural charm, hidden gems, and spaces that fit every possible vibe, from industrial chic to European elegance. As a wedding planner who has navigated over 150 celebrations, I know that finding “the one” (the venue, that is!) is the first big hurdle to clear so you can actually start enjoying the process. To help you jumpstart your journey, I’ve curated a list of my top favorite Chicago wedding venues. Whether you are looking for a sky-high rooftop or a cozy, historic B&B, these spaces offer the perfect blend of character and logistics.
Morgan’s on Fulton
Located right in the heart of the vibrant Fulton Market district, Morgan’s on Fulton is a dream for couples who want that quintessential “cool” Chicago energy. With its retractable glass roof, you get the best of both worlds- stunning skyline views and a built-in “plan B” for the unpredictable Midwest weather! It features a sleek, modern industrial aesthetic with multiple levels including a penthouse and a loft, allowing your guests to move through different environments as the night unfolds.
- Address: 950 W Fulton Market, Chicago, IL 60607
- Parking: Valet services are typically partnered for events; nearby paid lots via apps like SpotHero.
- Capacity: Up to 150 for a seated dinner or 250 for cocktail-style.
- Onsite getting ready suites: Yes.

The Ivy Room
Stepping into The Ivy Room feels like being transported to a secret garden in Europe, right in the middle of River North. The courtyard is draped in- you guessed it- lush ivy, providing a romantic, secluded atmosphere for your ceremony or cocktail hour. It is a full-service venue, which means their team handles the heavy lifting of food and beverage (backed by the Lettuce Entertain You group!), leaving you more time to be present and soak in every moment.
- Address: 12 E Ohio St, Chicago, IL 60611
- Parking: Valet services can be arranged; several self-park garages nearby.
- Capacity: Up to 200 seated.

The Arbory
The Arbory is the perfect “blank canvas” for the couple who loves a vintage warehouse vibe with a touch of modern sophistication. Located in West Town, this turn-of-the-century lumber warehouse has been beautifully renovated with custom wood tables, vintage chairs, and integrated sound and lighting. It is warm, cozy, and effortlessly cool. I especially love that they are a BYO venue for alcohol, which gives you so much flexibility with your budget!
- Address: 2219 W Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60612
- Parking: Ample weekend free street parking; preferred valet partners available.
- Capacity: Up to 190 seated or 300 cocktail-style.
- Onsite getting ready suites: Yes.

Chicago Winery
If you want the elegance of a vineyard wedding without leaving the city, Chicago Winery in River North is your answer. It blends urban character with rich colors and opulent accents. You can even host your ceremony on their four-season rooftop terrace with city views, then head downstairs for a family-style dinner with wine made right on the premises. It is a one-stop-shop for a seamless, elevated guest experience.

The Publishing House B&B
For the couple that wants their wedding to feel like an intimate, high-end house party, The Publishing House is unmatched. This historic 1909 building was once a publishing house and is now one of the most unique Chicago wedding venues for micro-weddings and elopements. The design is eclectic, warm, and incredibly intentional. Plus, you can book out the entire 11-room B&B so your closest loved ones can stay right on-site with you for the whole weekend!
